If you want to break up your week by experiencing world class cuisine at affordable prices, weekdays at Fire Cue is the place to be. You won’t find that anywhere else on the Gold Coast.
Fire Cue is the only Gold Coast restaurant to serve authentic hand pressed tortillas. Our tortillas are made from imported gluten free Mexican corn flour called masa harina. They are stuffed with beef brisket, achiote chicken or fresh barramundi. We serve tacos daily, however on Taco Tuesdays from 5pm until late these delicious bites are only $5.
Every Wednesday night our customers get to dine on tender Wagyu steaks for a very special price of $20. This isn’t just any steak, our steak is sourced from Cape Grimm in Tasmania. The cattle is retained on pasture for at least two years before moving to supplemental grain finishing for consistency of marbling. The herd has been selectively bred to carry the elusive ‘soft fat’ gene, traditionally sort after by the Japanese for its lower melting points and buttery mouthfeel.The Wagyu steak is then cooked over charcoal and served with aji panca chilli dressing and a splash of homemade red wine jus.
Our ribs were named ‘Best Rib On The Gold Coast’ by the Gold Coast Bulletin, and they’re only $25 on Thursday nights. These famous ribs come in half kilo serves and are slow cooked in a blend of latin spices and stock for over 4 hours. Before serving, they are grilled over charcoal in agave paste until the tender meat is practically falling off the bone.
